Kildare
Chamber of Commerce
is a voluntary organisation made up of local business representatives,
who have joined together to promote the economic and social
development of our local community in order to make it a better
place to live work and do business. Established
in 1998 in response for the need to provide a strong voice for
local business, Kildare Town Chamber of Commerce has
built solid track record in dealing with local issues that affect
the whole community.
Our
Values
Kildare Chamber of Commerce
represents the interests of local businesses and offers significant
opportunities to promote your business and network with other
members.
Membership
Membership is by annual subscription
(Jan to Dec) and over the past three years numbers have grown
to just over 100. In return your money is reinvested in the
community through various projects including funding of Christmas
Lights and part funding of Kildare Tidy Towns, while your support
however small adds weight to the day to day lobbing activities
of the executive committee.
Executive
Committee
The executive committee is
made up of five officers, President, Vice President, Secretary,
Treasurer, PRO and sixteen committee members, democratically
elected at the AGM. All
members are encouraged to attend and go forward for election
provided they are fully paid up members prior to the 2nd April
immediately before the AGM. The
next AGM of the Kildare Chamber of Commerce will be held in
January 2009.
